Modern Tea Party Baby Shower

Here are the photos from our most recent event -- a modern tea party baby shower!  We had such a blast styling and planning this event which was so girly yet sophisticated.

For this installation, we painted a piece of bead board and then installed four beautiful cabinet knobs.

Along with a few tea cups from our own collection, the hostess' family brought tea sets from their home.

We put together a "Wishing Tree" arrangement for the shower.  Every guest was asked to write well wishes for the mother-to-be and hang the cards from the tree.  Below are the cards that the guests used. For an extra touch, we cut a heart out of each card.

We love to create drama by using light in unexpected places.  Here, we used a submersible light in our floral arrangement.

We also put together the food for the event. Pictured here are our cherry cheesecake bites.

Another scrumptious food item that we crafted were these berry and cream shots, topped with edible food glitter.

Along with the food we made, family of the mom-to-be also brought cookies, cakes, and cupcakes. We absolutely love to include touches from friends and family. We also filled a metal bin with a variety of different drinks.

What a great time we had planning this shower! The mother-to-be wanted a modern tea party shower with pink and green colors.  We know how familiar the normal pink and pastel green color combination is so we decided to go with pink and turquoise instead.  The mother-to-be was also very comfortable with the shower being girly so we had a lot of room to use very feminine accents from the ribbons and bows to the jewels on the tabletops {love!}.  Another request was for a lot of fresh flowers which about thrilled our socks off since fresh flowers are so beautiful.  Thank you to the hostess, Josey, who chose us to style and plan her event. We hope it was personal, memorable, and simply sweet!
