Football Party Packs {Sneak Peek}

Here are a few photos of the Football Party Packs that we're working on. This particular pack is for the University of Florida Gators but each pack can be customized to fit your team's colors, whether college or professional.

Here is a quick spread of the decorations I've dreamed up so far. Obviously this is "staged" because when I am designing, it never looks this neat!

Fun with stamps! These adorable pennants can be adhered to toothpicks and stuck into delicious finger food or atop game-day cupcakes.

A view of the tools and accessories I'm using...and, yet another pennant! I promise there will be more to the packs than our pennant but these I've made so far are really cute.

Fun, fun, fun! These tile coasters are as much fun to make as they are to use! Here is a preview of a design I'm testing.  The final product may change a bit but I'm definitely using these around my house this football season!  Styled coasters for your team are a perfect touch to any party. These are included in the pack, as well.

Here is a simple yet cute way to claim your cup during those rowdy football games. These adorable clothes pins are included in our party packs and used to tell whose cup is whose.

Party packs include homemade and unique party decor for various themed events. We do all of the coordinating, cutting, gluing, painting and arranging. All you do is open the pack and impress all of your guests.

These particular Gator packs are for those football viewing and tailgate parties for our UF football fans. The packs can be made to fit any team, college or professional, though. So, if you would like original party decor that isn't found anywhere else, check out our shop {which is coming soon}! If you can't find what you're looking for, contact us and we'll get started making something just for you for no extra charge.

Inspiration: Back to School Goodies!

It's that time of year again!  By now the school shopping is completed and all of the excited students have met their teachers.  First day of the new school year is just around the corner for our neck of the woods. So, I've scoured the web for ideas on how to make going back fun and maybe help calm a few nerves.

Please take time to check out the blogs where I found these amazing photos. They are full of great ideas. Oh! And play this song while you are enjoying the photos. It's sure to get you in the back-to-school spirit!

For many, this will be their kid's first time going to school. I've noticed that it is usually harder for the parents than it is for the kids. I've figured out a way to prevent this. My son is never growing up. Period. Well, that and I'm thinking of homeschooling, but ya know.

Game Day Fashion

Fall semester starts next week and with it comes a rush of excitement for the beginning of the college football season. Josi put together some really cute outfits for game day. We live in Gainesville, Florida -- heart of Gator Football -- so we went with orange and blue. However, these styles could easily be altered to go with your favorite team's colors.

Stylish Gator Girl

This casual outfit would work well for tailgating and watching the game at the stadium. Bring on the burgers and corn hole!

Gator Dress

Gator Dress by simplysweetgnvl featuring metal jewelry

Here is a sweet dress with very girly accessories. It's casual enough for tailgating but dressy enough for a game day soiree. President's Box, anyone?

Didn't Josi do such a great job finding these adorable game-day outfits? She has an eye for fashion. Which is why I am constantly raiding her closet.

I hope these outfits have given you some inspiration and made you excited for football season! Check back at the end of this week for our new Gator Party Packs -- full of everything you need to make your game-day extra sweet!

Fall Event Inspiration: Winne the Pooh

I have to admit that when I saw the new Winnie the Pooh movie preview, I got really excited. I know that's sort of embarrassing considering my age, but what can I say? I'm a child at heart.

So, when the movie finally came out we took Eli, our 3-year-old son, to see it. This was his first theater experience, by the way. I was so overwhelmed by the flood of warm memories coming back to me of a childhood spent watching that lovable bear. I remembered the days when life was so much simpler and happiness was found in a jar of honey.

I instantly became inspired for a Winnie the Pooh event and began putting together an inspiration board. Below are some photos I've gathered from the web that fit into the idea I have in my head...though nothing can really come close to what's going on in my head (and sometimes that's a good thing).

Southern Girl Conversion

We at Simply Sweet Events have been so busy lately. With the end of semester comes exams and soon after comes picking up after the storm called school. Along with finals and cramming for those finals, we have been entertaining my husband's 12-year-old sister. She left the beautiful desert landscape of Phoenix, Arizona to visit the lush, beautiful, little-piece-of-tropical-heaven known as Florida. I take for granted the fact that I am a true southern girl at heart and that I've grown up with that sweet hospitality, winding two-lane roads, and moss-covered ancient oaks. But my sister-in-law, Meg, was completely overtaken by the beauty of the new landscape and it became my mission to turn this western city-girl into a southern girl, if only for two weeks.

The first time we offered Meg a glass of sweet iced tea, I could've had a heart attack when she said she'd never tried it! She had three cups and drank it from a mason jar, no less. I'm so proud!

Promo Party at Westside Park

We recently hosted a promotional party at Westside park!  The weather called for rain but in fact, the clouds covered the sun just enough to make for a perfect trip to the park.  We were so fortunate to have so many out-and-about that Saturday!  We set up a table with some goodies -- cupcakes, trail mix cones, lollipops, fruit punch, and water --  and photos from our recent events.  And to those little ones who asked, we gave away pinwheels!

Sneak Peek! Modern Tea Party Baby Shower

This photo collage is of our "Wishing Tree" arrangement from a baby shower we recently planned and styled.  Guests were encouraged to write well wishes for the mom-to-be on a card and attach them to the tree.  On the tree we also hung vintage chandelier crystals with pink pacifier toys for a modern twist.  We had a lot of fun styling this shower and more photos are soon to come!

a 4th of July tea party

As I was preparing the house to celebrate Independence Day, I took our American flag out of it's triangle case that we have mounted on the wall.  For the 4th, we put it on full display in all of it's red, white, and blue glory.

I decided the flag would be a perfect backdrop for my tea party table scape. We have a beautiful blue porcelain tea set that I thought was so representative of the holiday. And so, the two collided to make the set up below.

Free 4th of July printables from my favorite sites!

While searching the web to find inspiration for a 4th of July table I'm putting together, I came across these adorable {and free!} printables and just had to share them with you. Their corresponding websites are listed below.

*Every one of these beautiful photos are from their respective websites are not the property of Simply Sweet Events

Top left: Party signs from Hostess with the Mostess
These are so much fun to use on the table. Print them on label paper and put them on your glass pitcher full of sweet iced tea or lemonade.

Top right: These simply darling flags are from The Sweetest Occasion blog
If you cut the flag designs in half, they can be used as decoration for your 4th of July invitations.

Bottom left: Napkin ring designs are from  Martha Stewart
You could also use these napkin ring designs on small glass candles.

I will be sure to put up photos from my own tablescape including my ideas for each of these printables. I hope you found a little inspiration for your own Independence day celebration!

Dr. Seuss Inspired Birthday Party

We recently put together a 3rd birthday party for my son.  When I asked him what theme he wanted for his party, he said "Cat in the Hat" without skipping a beat.  Of course, my eyes lit up and a rush of ideas came flooding to mind.  I would image any Dr. Seuss themed event would make an event planner giddy with delight. The famous Dr. Seuss was ingenious in his creativity and originality and each page of his books lends infinite inspiration.  The ideas were limitless and we had a lot of fun putting this event together.  Below are a few details from the event.

We made flower poms that were placed around the wooden pavilion and added a lot of color.
